At Alpha Preclinical, Joan brings over 20 years of operating experience from the in vivo preclinical contract research industry to focus on the development, execution, and strategy to assist our clients.
Joan is a member of the founding scientific team at Alpha, and currently serves as the company’s President and Chief Operational Officer. Prior to Alpha, Joan held positions of increasing responsibility at Biomedical Research Models and Charles River Laboratories. She conducted her doctoral training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester, MA.

Joan is particularly excited about initiatives at the company that combine deep understandings of disease etiology and progression, model development and translational medicine. She is thrilled to have founded a company that provides the needed services to our many clients by allowing them to focus on their impressive innovative science to create emerging treatments for patients.
